The HPDAC3 - A PCM1794 Based Upsampling and Oversampling USB DAC with built-in Headphone Amplifier
The HPDAC3 was the first of the group to not be powered directly off of the USB supply.
Instead, it used a 12V supply, and a virtual ground.
The downsode to this arrangement is that the virtual ground must source a lot of current, for the DAC section and thus ran really hot.
